PLATINUM

WHO: bada&bou

WHAT: Soft wool characters designed to work as seating, storage and toys

WHY: A German design brand who specialise in producing playful and timeless seating that doubles up as sensory toys that appeal to both adults and children. Our panel loved the minimal design and muted gender neutral tones of these animals who create a fun and friendly presence in any play space for children. In fact one of the huge attractions of these beautifully crafted pieces was that they would look good in any room in the house. The JDA judges were all in agreement that these multi-purpose ride-on toys would delight all children and would be passed down through generations. Hence why we felt they deserved our highest accolade.

Beautifully made toys disguised as furniture or is that the other way round? I absolutely love these soft and sculptural looking pieces that encourage play and sensory discovery while elevating any room in the house.

So, so cute!! And the design is so simple but therefore amazing.

This is a brilliant item. Not only does it look fabulous but it's very practical. It offers three different movements (rocking, jumping and rolling) where the child can experience active and sensory play, but it can also be used simply as a comfortable seat to relax in.

A childhood dream come true. Who wouldn’t want to ride on a whale, hop on a rabbit or whiz about on an elephant?! So much fun.

Made from all natural materials with breathability and comfort at the fore, these bassinets and co-ordinating rattan stands are as practical as they are beautiful to look at and our judges agreed that they would make the perfect heirloom gift.
